House of the Bugio and Mourisqueiro

The House of the Bugio and Mourisqueiro is the headquarters of the São João de Sobrado festivities. Located in the centre of the parish, it serves as a meeting point, costume warehouse, and museum space.
The building houses a collection of masks, costumes and instruments used in the Bugiada and Mouriscada, preserving the material memory of this centuries-old tradition.
Throughout the year, the House hosts planning meetings, rehearsals and cultural activities that keep the tradition alive for new generations.
The House is managed by the São João de Sobrado Association (Comissão de Festas), which ensures its maintenance and promotion.
